SPE can work with NetApp Filer to run virus scan for the shared files. Here are the steps to configure the SPE to work with NetApp Filer:
1. Create a user in AD, this user will be used to run the service of SPE, and also will be added into the group in NetApp accordingly:
2. Log into NetApp System Manager:
3. Choose 'ontap' --> 'Configuration' --> 'Local Users and Groups' --> 'Groups', select the 'Backup Operators' group:
4. Edit the group properties:
5. Add the domain user that created in step1 into the group:
6. Save and close the group properties:
7. From the NetApp command-line, run the command to enable vscan service: vscan on
8. Run this command to add the IP address of SPE into the vscan scanner list: vscan scanners secondary_scanners 192.168.1.200
9. Back to the SPE, configure the Log On of the SPE service into the domain account that created in step1:
10. Restart the SPE service
11. Log into SPE admin console, add the IP address of the NetApp into the RPC list:
12. Restart the SPE service, then the SPE can work with NetApp Filer.
